Love Songs for Two
Recommended in Newsday's technology gift guide on February 3, 2014
You love most of the same music. Now you can listen to your songs together without using a loudspeaker. The Tunes for Two headphone splitter lets two people plug into the same device simultaneously. It measures 2" x 2" x 0.75" (5 x 5 x 2 cm) and is compatible with the standard 3.5 mm headphone socket that you'll find on MP3 players, computers, smart phones, portable gaming systems, and many tablet computers -- just about every electronic device except the iPhone 7 and higher (which require expensive and easily-lost wireless earbuds). The plug's cover has a keychain attachment so that you can always carry Tunes for Two with you, because you never know when love is going to strike.
We're sorry to say that the red version is permanently sold out. Contrary to the picture on this page, you will receive the pink version. Your beloved won't know the difference.
If your Tunes for Two splitter is a gift, check the box above to put it in a nice velveteen drawstring pouch -- the giftwrap that's like a mini gift in itself. While you're at it, check the Related Products below to see a few of our fun earbuds. (See them all in the Earbuds & Audio category to your left.)
Ear buds, telephone, and romantic partner not included.
Are you curious...?
Why do we depict love with a symbol that represents the body's blood pump...and doesn't even look a whole lot like a real heart? Blood and strong emotions often go together, and various ancient cultures considered the heart to be the seat of the mind, emotions, or soul. The "heart shape" itself might have come from the seed of the silphium plant, an ancient herbal contraceptive. Others have pointed out that it resembles various private features of the female body. We'll let you fill in the details.
