The pure silicone Guitar Panhandler slips over the handle of just about any pan. Because the guitar-neck shaped sleeve is safe for temperatures up to 500 degrees F (260 C), you can leave it on as a permanent pot holder -- even going from stovetop to oven to table. In fact, if you own a nice set of cookware you'll want to install a Panhandler on each piece. It's dishwasher safe, too.

Tight strings put considerable stress on a guitar's neck, which is usually made of a different wood from the guitar's body. The rigidity of the neck is one thing that defines a guitar's quality. Blues and rock guitarists sometimes use a fretting arm to deliberately affect a note's pitch by bending the neck. Real guitar necks make lousy pot holders, and we recommend against using this silicone pot holder as a guitar part.
