Volleyball was created in 1895 in Holyoke, Massachusetts, to compete with that other new indoor sport from Springfield -- basketball -- that had been invented just four years earlier. Originally called Mintonette, volleyball was a cross between tennis and handball. Some say that Spalding created the first standard volleyball in 1896. Others dispute that, but nobody believes that our volleyball golf balls were ever serious contenders.
Like all of our other golf balls, the volleyball designs are printed on high quality, two-piece construction golf balls developed for consistent control, distance, and durability. These balls are meant to be used. Volleyball golf balls are printed in high-gloss inks that won't chip or fade. They come in clear gift packaging with the design facing forward.
If you've ever had trouble remembering which ball on the green is yours, this is the solution for you.
