New Life for Old Records
Artist Jeff Davis molds each of these unique bowls from a (non-playable) vintage, 33 RPM vinyl record. They still have their original grooves -- in fact, you might even be able to just barely hear ghostly sounds if you drag a fingernail through the groove. We recommend against placing them on your turntable, though.
You will receive a bowl made from a rock or popular music album from the 1960s, '70s, or '80s. Use the pulldown list above to see what artists are available at this time. If you don't choose one from the list, we'll pick one for you at random. Use these to hold dry snacks, fruits, wrapped candies, or anything that isn't hot or caustic. The labels are protected with a mylar seal that also closes off the spindle hole. We do not recommend serving dips or liquids from these bowls, as the vinyl is not sealed.
These bowls are not dishwasher safe and definitely don't belong in your microwave! Wash by hand with warm water and gentle detergent.
Vinylux has recycled more than 150,000 old records since 2002, keeping about 19 tons of material out of landfills.
