The Pickup Truck of the Empire
Don't miss your last chance to buy this discontinued Star Wars model! They won't last long at this price and we can't get more when they're gone. The Imperial Shuttle is an intermediate difficulty Metal Earth model. It consists of about 26 pieces on two sheets of metal. The shuttle is a multi-purpose vehicle used throughout the Imperial fleet. Assembled, the Imperial Shuttle measures 4.25" x 2.5" x 4".
Each Metal Earth model is laser etched in meticulous detail on 11 cm (4.33") metal sheets. Pop out the pieces by hand (or use wire cutters to get especially crisp lines), bend the tabs using needle-nose pliers, and fit them together as shown in the simple pictorial instructions. For maximum dramatic effect, display your model on the LED Display Base or the Solar Spinner (sold separately, see the Related Products below).
Please note that Metal Earth models have sharp edges and are not suitable for small children. Metal Earth was originally called MetalWorks.

The Lambda class T-4a shuttle is considered more elegant than the Empire's usual brutishly functional approach to design. The hyperdrive-equipped, well-armed craft serves a variety of roles throughout the Empire, from ferrying cargo to carrying troops into battle. Even dignitaries as high as Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader have their own private Lambda T-4s. It's instantly recognizable by its fixed vertical fin and its movable lower wings.
Lambda-class shuttles first appeared in The Return of the Jedi and were later added in to the Special Edition release of The Empire Strikes Back. At least one imperial shuttle is known to have escaped the Star Wars universe entirely to make a cameo in Serenity, the pilot episode of Joss Whedon's Firefly.
