Adapted for the Cold
Don't miss your last chance to buy this discontinued Star Wars model! They won't last long at this price and we can't get more when they're gone.
Each Metal Earth model is laser etched in meticulous detail on 11 cm (4.33") metal sheets. Pop out the pieces by hand (or use wire cutters to get especially crisp lines), bend the tabs using needle-nose pliers, and fit them together as shown in the simple pictorial instructions. For maximum dramatic effect, display your model on the LED Display Base or the Solar Spinner (sold separately, see the Related Products below).
The Snowspeeder is an intermediate difficulty Metal Earth model. It consists of 42 pieces on two sheets of metal. The Snowspeeder is a modified version of the T-47 airspeeder. Assembled, the Snowspeeder measures 1.25" x 3.25" x 3.00" (3.17 x 8.25 x 7.62 cm).
Please note that Metal Earth models have sharp edges and are not suitable for small children. Metal Earth was originally called MetalWorks.
Are you curious...?
The T-47 airspeeder was a low-flying two-person civilian aircraft. When the crippling cold threatened to ground their airspeeder force, the Rebel Alliance stationed on the ice planet Hoth adapted them into assault fighters that could operate in extreme winter conditions. The snowspeeder is a two-person fighter craft with a forward-facing pilot operating two heavy laser cannons and a tailgunner manning a harpoon cannon.
The snowspeeder appeared in 1980's The Empire Strikes Back, where they went up against the AT-AT walkers. When their cannons proved ineffective, the creative pilots used their harpoon cables to trip the walkers.
