Cookies with Something to Say

Bake cookies that make a statement with this set of 26 letters plus an ampersand and an exclamation point. The cookie cutters are double sided -- first punch out the shape, then flip it over and press in the letter. Your cookies will look great plain and even better iced, and there's a basic recipe on the box to get you started. Food- and dishwasher-safe.

...Are you curious?

Moveable type was one of the most important inventions behind Western civilization. The Chinese created the first ceramic moveable type system around 1040 AD, and Koreans made moveable type out of metal in 1234, but it took Johannes Gutenberg's improvements to the letter-making process, plus the more limited character set in European languages, to really start a mass-market printing revolution around 1450. Moveable type page-setting was faster and more durable than the wooden block printing that it replaced and the letters were more uniform, as Gutenberg's low-cost Bibles demonstrated.
