The Smuggler's Ship
Each Metal Earth model is laser etched in meticulous detail on 11 cm (4.33") metal sheets. Pop out the pieces by hand (or use wire cutters to get especially crisp lines), bend the tabs using needle-nose pliers, and fit them together as shown in the simple pictorial instructions. For maximum dramatic effect, display your model on the LED Display Base or the Solar Spinner (sold separately, see the Related Products below).
The Millennium Falcon is an intermediate difficulty Metal Earth model. It comes on two sheets of metal. Assembled, it measures 2.85 x 3.65 x 1.1" (7.24 x 9.27 x 2.79 cm). The Millennium Falcon was piloted by smuggler Han Solo and his first mate, the wookie Chewbacca.
Please note that Metal Earth models have sharp edges and are not suitable for small children. Metal Earth was originally called MetalWorks.

The original design for the Millennium Falcon was more elongated, but George Lucas felt that it looked too much like the Eagle Transporters in Space: 1999, so he made a few tweaks and pressed that version into duty as Princess Leia's ship instead. Lucas's revised Falcon was based on a hamburger with the cockpit being an olive on one side. A two-track recording of a McDonnell-Douglas DC-9's engine noise, played back with the tracks out of sync, provides the sound of the Falcon entering hyperspace. Joss Whedon cited the Millennium Falcon as one of his inspirations for Firefly, and the Millennium Falcon's distinctive shape has made other popular culture appearances over the years.
