Hung Out to Dry
Spice up your kitchen with the Switchables Ristra stained glass nightlight cover. Its rich red glow adds a warm southwestern light to any dim space.
This is not a self-contained night light. Switchables stained glass night light covers are designed to be used with the Switchables Nightlight Fixture (sorry, we are permanently sold out -- clicking that link will take you away from our store). Switchables are "switchable" because you can easily swap any one of our covers onto the same simple fixture. You can also use your Switchables cover as a suncatcher, a Christmas ornament, or with any other kind of light source. To display your Switchables cover in a window, add the optional suction cup.
Are you curious...?
Being New Englanders, we didn't know what a "ristra" is until we Googled it. But it's an everyday sight if you live in the southwest or are a food preservationist. Quite simply, a ristra is an arrangement of drying chili peppers to use in cooking. Originally purely functional, ristras are now an attractive home or restaurant decoration, and people sometimes arrange other peppers or even garlic as ristras. Some desert dwellers even shape ristras into holiday wreaths.
