Panther Vision's 6-LED Night Vision and Navigator Caps are for outdoor enthusiasts, pilots, sailors, amateur astronomers, and anybody else who needs hands-free lights that won't spoil their night vision. The premium quality ultra-bright white LEDs produce a true white light without the bluish tinge that you get with the cheap standard LEDs that other companies use. The high beams deliver bright illumination out to at least 15 feet (4.5 m) and are visible up to a mile away (1.2 km).

Navigator features:

• Red LEDs maintain night vision in the dark. Navigators are best for pilots, sailors, and amateur astronomers. There's no top button so that you can comfortably wear a headset.
• All six ultra-bright LEDs are rated for 100,000 hours of use.
  • Four ultra-bright LED lights concealed under brim for light aimed down ("low beams") for focused task lighting;
    • Two white lights and two red lights for detail-oriented situations and spotting things ahead in the distance
    • Two white lights mounted in the edge of the brim ("high beams") for distance lighting.
      
  • Two ultra bright LEDs in edge of brim for focused task lighting ("low beams")
• Newer caps have separate on/off switches for each color. Older caps have one multi-function switch. See below for which cap has which switch.
• One battery compartment holds four CR-2032 coin cell batteries housed in sweat band for the white LEDs
• Second battery compartment on the other side of the sweat band holds two CR-2032 coin cell batteries for the red LEDs
• Altogether, the six batteries deliver 50 hours of continuous use
• Velcro closure fits most heads (not designed for small children, though)
• 100% polyester (like our Runners Caps) is lightweight and water-resistant

Night Vision features:

• Green LEDs preserve night vision and assist with animal tracking, night fishing, and early morning hunting.
• All six ultra-bright LEDs are rated for 100,000 hours of use.
  • Four ultra-bright LED lights concealed under brim for light aimed forward ("high beams") for distances of up to 50 yards
    • Two white lights for detail-oriented situations and spotting things ahead in the distance
    • Two green lights for night vision and animal tracking purposes
  • Two ultra bright LEDs in edge of brim for focused task lighting ("low beams")
    
    • One white light angled downwards for task lighting
    • One green light angled downwards for night vision task lighting
• Comes with four replaceable CR-2032 lithium coin cell batteries for up to 35 hours of continuous use or 50 hours of realistic intermittent use. The battery compartment is concealed in the headband. You can get replacement batteries in most drug and grocery stores.
• Older caps have one multifunction switch rated for 50,000 on/off cycles (one switch controls all six LEDs). Newer caps have separate on/off switches for the white LEDs and the green LEDs. See below for which caps have which switch.
  
• One size fit most heads with a Velcro adjustment strap (not designed for small children).
• The lightweight six-panel cap is high-quality 100% brushed and washed 16x12 cotton twill with piping in the bill. It has a top button and six sewn eyelets. A color-coordinated sweat band has a foam sandwich layer for added comfort. The Panther Vision logo is sewn, unobtrusively in matching thread, into the bottom of the bill. The blank front of the cap can easily accept any embroidered logo you want to add (Curio City does not embroider or imprint, but you can easily find that service locally).
• Every cap comes with a limited lifetime warranty from Panther Vision. If your cap ever fails due to a defect in workmanship, return it to the manufacturer for replacement.

About the Individual Caps

Panther Vision is constantly tweaking their cap designs, so features often change from one production run to the next. The following list describes exactly which features you can expect with which cap. 

• Navigator 6-LED Khaki Unstructured Pilot's Cap   
  • This is the "new" style of Navigator with all of the features described in the "Navigator Features" section above. It's made of lightweight, water-resistant polyester, like our Runners Caps, and it replaces the stone Navigator described below.
• Navigator 6-LED Navy Unstructured Pilot's Cap 
  •  This is the "new" style of Navigator with all of the features described in the "Navigator Features" section above. It's made of lightweight, water-resistant polyester, like our Runners Caps, and it replaces the black Navigator described above.

• Night Vision 6-LED RealTree AP Camouflage Click here to see the master camo pattern. Each cap is cut from a small swatch of that pattern.
  
  • Separate on/off switches control the green LEDs and the white LEDs.
    
  • Uses four easily replaced CR-2032 coin cell batteries in one compartment.
  • Designed for fishing at night; early morning hunting; blood tracking. This cap replaces the old 5-LED camo cap.
  • Structured cap has buckram batting to stiffen the two front panels.
• Night Vision 6-LED Blaze Orange 
  • One switch controls all six LEDs: Push the button once for the green low beams; again for the white low beams; and again for the white low beams plus white high beams.
  • This cap is made from water-resistant Nylon. It is the only Panther cap that's not primarily cotton.
  • The underside of the bill and the headband are black.
  • Designed for hunting mammals (especially deer). Most prey animals are color-blind.
  • This is also a structured cap.

International Shipping Restrictions

In November 2012, the USPS relaxed its restrictions on shipping lithium "coin cell" batteries internationally to allow a limited number of batteries that are installed in products. We can't ship replacement batteries internationally, including to US military addresses (APO, FPO, DPO), because they are not installed in products. Some individual countries will not accept any packages containing batteries; we currently cannot ship any products containing batteries to Germany or Italy. Customers in those countries may still order our products, but we have to remove the batteries before shipping to you. Please consult this page to see your country's restrictions.

Every new Panther Vision lighted cap comes with batteries installed, and they'll last about 30 hours of continuous operation. Tick the box above to add one 4-pack of Panther Power CR2032 coin cell replacement batteries each time you add a cap to your shopping cart. (If you are ordering multiple colors and want batteries for all of your caps, check the box each time you add more caps to your cart). You can find CR2032s at any store that sells batteries, but our Panther Power packages are priced very competitively, and adding batteries to your order will not increase your shipping charge.

About Volume Pricing

Discounted prices apply to orders of identical lighted caps shipped to a single address. You may not mix and match designs or combine separate orders to attain these discounts. We do not always have enough caps in every style to fulfill very large orders, but we can usually get as many as you need within a week or so. Please use our Contact form to ask about availability if you need more caps in a particular style than we have on hand. The amounts shown in the discount table scale with each cap's base price: That is, if the Navigator costs $2 more than the Night Vision, its quantity discounts will be $2 higher than those shown in the table. Volume pricing may be changed or discontinued at any time without notice.

Cleaning Your Power Cap

Remove the batteries and hand-wash in warm, soapy water (do not bleach). Don't immerse the bill or the head band in water. You can clean the surface of the bill with a damp cloth, but keep the electronics dry! Do not machine wash or dry clean. Line dry for at least 24 hours before replacing the batteries. Don't use the clothes dryer. Do not iron.
