Overview
Get Wasted
Fill these 10-ounce (296 ml) Polluted drinking glasses with your favorite poison. Two Polluted glasses come in a colorful gift box. Polluted is hand-blown from strong, lead-free borosilicate glass. Pair these with our Toxic Spills drink coasters (see the Related Products tab) for a complete nuclear meltdown.
Did you know...? Borosilicate glass was invented by a German glassmaker in the late 19th century and sold as "Duran". Corning Glass Works marketed it as "Pyrex" in the US in 1915. Today, the Europeans still use borosilicate in their Pyrex kitchenware, but the Americans have gone over to soda-lime glass. Borosilicate is harder to make than ordinary glass, but its superior strength and heat resistance make it economical for laboratory and kitchen use. It's also used to make telescope mirrors and to encapsulate high-level radioactive waste.
