The idea for the DayClock came to Mark Pierce and John Kallestad one July day in the heart of the Nevada desert. The retirees had been dirt sailing for several days, awaiting their wives' arrival on Friday. Problem was, they'd lost track of the day. Their wristwatches were no help. That night the DayClock concept was born over beers around a campfire.

It's so simple, it's brilliant: The day clock face is divided into seven segments, and the day hand makes one revolution every 168 hours. The border lines denote midnight and the midway point is noon. It's a whole new way of looking at time.
